 Course overview :

This one day class will teach the basic skills of EKG interpretation  to identify the cardiac rhythms and to distinguish the lethal arrhythmias. It will provide the foundation for competency in EKG recognition important to the successful completion of the ACLS.  Pharmacology relevant to ACLS will also be reviewed. This class is intended for those planning to take an ACLS class.

This class is the most common CPR certification needed for Healthcare Professionals.

You get a 2 year BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Certification Card. 4 hour course.

All classes are in English - must be able to understand spoken and written English.

The instructor course content will include: AHA guidelines for teaching BLS and HS cardio-pulmonary classes.  The student will complete the AHA online requirement and successfully  demonstrate all skills for the BLS and HS class. 

An interview with the training center coordinator is required prior to class enrollment.

In addition to the four day class times, each participant will attend two classes taught by NEW staff and another date where the participant will teach a BLS class.

MUST TAKE THE CPR COURSE ONLINE THROUGH AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION!  AHA WILL ALSO CHARGE A FEE. 

The BLS Skills Check is the hands-on portion of an AHA eLearning course and includes Parts 2 and 3 — skills practice and testing. It is conducted in-person AFTER a student completes Part 1 online. Nurse Education Workshops only offers the skills session.

 

Part 1.  Complete the self-directed online course and print out your AHA online proof of course completion (we only accept AHA online eLearning certificates).

Part 2.  Present your AHA online proof of completion AND your current old AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR card at the time/location of the skills session for which you registered.

Part 3.  Complete the hands-on skills session & test with a Nurse Education Workshops instructor. 

Students will be allowed a chance to practice under the guidance of their instructor before their skills check.

You get a 2 year BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Certification Card. 1.5 hour skills check. RENEWALS ONLY

Course Overview:

This course is designed to enable the provider to read an EKG monitor and will be helpful for those working in telemetry, intensive care or monitored beds. The basic arrhythmias as well as telemetry techniques will be covered. Calipers are helpful but not required. Must attend all four evenings.

This is a CPR-only course that covers many everyday people including new parents, grade school teachers, fitness trainers, nannies or if you just want to know how to do basic CPR.

YES! You get your American Heart Association 2 year certification card the SAME day upon successful completion of the course.

8 hour course.

All classes are in English - must be able to understand spoken and written English.

 

This four day course is designed to meet the state regulations for Licensed Vocational Nurses.

The course will teach the basic principles of intravenous therapy and blood withdrawal.  Each student will participate in the hands on lab experience.

Student should be an LVN or have completed a VN program.

Attendance is required all four days to receive continuing education and state certificate
